The Mumbai racing season at the Royal Western India Turf Club brings to you the first classic race of the season: The Indian 1000 Guineas this Sunday, 9th December 2018, 1 pm onwards.
The Indian 1000 Guineas takes place on the second Sunday of December where only the three-year-old fillies participate carrying level weights over 1600 meters. This race holds a special significance in Indian racing and breeding, as it marked the first time ever that Indian classics were run.
The likely participants for the Indian 1000 Guineas are Anatevka, Isn’t She Lovely, Eyes For You, Merlot and the winner of the Bangalore 1000 Guineas - Oomph. Some of the jockeys who will be vying for honors are David Allan, Leigh Roche and our local jockeys P. Trevor, A. Sandesh and Neeraj Rawal.
A day at the races at Royal Western India Turf Club, Mahalaxmi is always full of fun, excitement and most importantly, entertainment. This Sunday, spend a fun-filled day at the racecourse watching the classic race –The Indian 1000 Guineas, together with a lineup of stellar live performances, food and drinks that you can’t pass up!
